testimonials matter

Today I was reminded of the importance of reviews as I am looking to hire help in my personal life. And not just generic reviews like "Oh Sonia is SO GREAT! Highly recommend." But reviews that actually give potential clients insight on your teaching style, your personality, and your approach.

Here's an example of an actual customer testimonial that showcases my teaching style -

"Thank you, Sonia! This helped me SO MUCH! Just having a step-by-step, get it done, keep it simple approach helped hold my idea-flooded non-sequential brain keep it all in order to move it along. It took me some time, but I learned a lot. Thank you!"

Here's another testimonial that could give potential clients insight on what it's like to work with me -

"Sometimes I have a plan in my mind and I don't necessarily know how to execute it. Once I started working with Sonia, it became clear I need to do this first, before I do this, before I do this. And it helped me narrow down what were the important things to focus on, and what were some of the things that could wait.” - Monica Golson

Here are two simple questions you can ask your current & former clients (save these for later!)

1) What were you struggling with when you first reached out to me?

2) Any specific results you achieved when working with me?

You can also check out an example of how I display reviews on my Work with Me page.

Hope that helps!

Yesterday I sent an email about how I regret buying a year of Kajabi. While I have made over $200 in revenue in a short time period, I feel restricted because I can only sell three products and it cost me over $1400 for one year. Someone asked, do I get three products plus a community? Unfortunately, no. A community counts towards your product limit. You can even have multiple "groups" within your community, but each counts as a product! So basically, if you're someone who has a lot of course...

Someone recently asked me what my job is, and I told him I'm a YouTuber. His follow-up question was, "Do you get a lot of views?" I said no, but I still make money from my YouTube videos. Here's an example. From March 23 to March 29 this month, I've made $2.84 in ad revenue. Oof. Maybe I can buy a burger at McDonalds a year from now when I finally get paid out (you need to reach $100 in ad revenue before you get a payout) In the same time period, I made $653 in revenue via affiliate links,...
