Someone recently asked me what my job is, and I told him I'm a YouTuber. His follow-up question was, "Do you get a lot of views?" I said no, but I still make money from my YouTube videos. Here's an example. From March 23 to March 29 this month, I've made $2.84 in ad revenue. Oof. Maybe I can buy a burger at McDonalds a year from now when I finally get paid out (you need to reach $100 in ad revenue before you get a payout)
In the same time period, I made $653 in revenue via affiliate links, from the same YouTube videos (along with their corresponding blog posts). In my videos, I focus on the "ready-to-buy" viewer. For example, making a review video for people who are researching a specific product/service. When you focus on "ready to buy" viewers, you get less views overall, but more sales, and that's what matters as a business owner! Hit reply & let me know if you plan to try this~!
